What is Youth Ministry?

-It is the response of the Christian family to the needs of young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the wider community.

How do I join St. Genevieve Youth Ministry (SGYM)?

-A person is automatically a member by virtue of their baptism. All you have to do is show up during one of our gatherings...Don't be shy!

Is SGYM only for people who go to St. Genevieve Elementary / High School?

- No. Everyone is invited to be an active member of our Church and an active member of SGYM. Currently most active SGYM volunteers come from different schools (public/private) in the Los Angeles County and colleges/universities in the State of California.

Is SGYM limited to a particular culture only?

-No. As mentioned above, it is open to everyone. The theme of youth ministry (see below) is also about being multi-cultural with a comprehensive mindset. The current dynamics of SGYM is proportionate to the Parish's cultural representation.
