Logo Contest"
We already received a handful of submissions for
the SGYM Logo Contest. This project is open to all Parishioners including ALL the youth from our Parish Community. The design
must represent ALL of our Parish youth including both schools and Religious Education.
The winning logo will be used in our future shirts
and banners to represent the youth of our Parish during Archdiocesan and National Catholic events. Last day to submit your
entry is January 23, 2011 via email (sgym@ymail.com) or leaving it in the Parish office. The winning entry will be chosen by your peers, parishioners
and parish staff members. Winners will receive a $50.00 gift card.
"Empower
Youth 2011"

Where: Madonna Hall
Cost: $5 (youth), $10 (adult)…sold at the door
St. Genevieve Youth Ministry is organizing a fundraising
event called "Empower Youth 2011". This will be a night where your local youth will be empowered to share their gifts to everyone.
Expect to see a variety of "WOW - Without Words" performances from singing to dancing and much more!
You will see representations from the Archdiocesan
recognized SGYM band / choir, Cherubim (Elementary School) and the Valiant's Concert Choir (High School) – both recognized
and winners of various national choir competitions.
Proceeds during this event will be used for Youth
Ministry related activities that will benefit the whole Parish community.
So please come and support your youth!!!
"Training
Time! "
On February 12 &
13 there will be two day training opportunities for people that minister to our young people. There will be a Youth
Ministry Specialization, a Young Adolescent Specialization, and Confirmation Catechist Specializations (in English and Spanish)
offered at All Souls Parish in Alhambra. These training sessions are offered by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Anyone who wants
to work/serve with youth in any leadership role must be trained under the guidelines of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and
U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. For more information on these sessions, please contact your youth minister, J.P. Fernandez
